Reverend Peter Kurti is a Research Fellow co-ordinating the Religion and Civil Society program at the Centre for Independent Studies in Sydney. The program examines the implications of a liberal approach to religion in civil society and investigates the capacity of that society to maintain freedom of expression of religious values. It does not discuss issues of discipline, dogma or organization.
Peter is the author of The Tyranny of Tolerance, in which he dissects modern-day attacks on freedom of speech and religion. His other works include Multiculturalism and the Fetish of Diversity and The Forgotten Freedom: Threats to Religious Freedom in Australia.
He presented this speech at Mannkal Economic Education Foundation’s Western Civilisation conference in Perth, November 2017.
